Chocolate Mug Cake

Ah, February, the time for lovers and chocolate fiends alike. Snuggle up for a night in with your special someone, but don’t forget the dessert! Enjoy your favorite chocolate bar in a whole new way. Just give it a rough chop and sprinkle it atop the remaining ingredients in your cutest mug! Pop it in the microwave for only a minute and satisfy your sweet tooth in no time. This recipe will deliver you foolproof treat, even if its creation is spur of the moment!

ONLY 8 MINS! / SERVES 1

Ingredients:

1/4 cup bulk all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons bulk cocoa powder

2 tablespoons bulk cane sugar

1/4 teaspoon aluminum-free baking powder

1/8 teaspoon bulk nutmeg, grated

6 tablespoons grass-fed whole milk

1 tablespoon organic avocado oil

2 tablespoons fair-trade chocolate, chopped

Directions:

  1. In a 12-ounce mug whisk together dry ingredients.
  2. Add milk and oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until smooth and there are no lumps. Top with chopped chocolate.
  1. Place mug in microwave and cook for 1 minute. Continue to cook in 10 second increments until cake has set. Allow cake to cool for 5-10 minutes before eating.
