As partners and allies in our mission to promote transparency and create a more natural, sustainable food system, we wanted you to be the first to know about an important initiative our friends at The Non-GMO Project are working on.
October is Non-GMO Month and the Non-GMO Project is hosting their first-ever Giving Day on October 28.
The Non-GMO Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, funded in part by philanthropy. Every day, they are focused on verifying that products avoid GMOs, which gives everyone the confidence to make informed decisions about the food they buy and eat.
In honor of this day, The Patch is giving away 40 Non-GMO Project tote bags at their Clearwater location and 10 at their Dunedin location on October 28. The first customers at our Customer Care counters will receive a FREE tote bag.
If you’d like to help contribute to The Non-GMO Project’s goal to reach 25% of products on the market labeled with the butterfly in the next decade (currently 10%), you can contribute here.
It’s all about the Butterfly Effect, the powerful idea that small changes can lead to big impacts. #BeTheButterfly
